Our new shiitake kit grows indoors to produce high-quality mushrooms quickly and easily from coco coir (a renewable wood-substitute).
You produce your own substrate block, add fresh grain spawn and watch the mushroom mycelium grow. The block is then left to develop and mature before mushrooms appear.
Unlike outdoor kits, which can be quite unpredictable and take many months or years to produce mushrooms, our indoor kits are much quicker and more reliable.
This kit makes a great present for anyone who would like to see how mushrooms grow and develop. It is suitable for children (with adult supervision) and will yield about 500g of mushrooms overall.
